Family owned and operated. Hand-breaded walleye, jumbo wings, homemade noodles, and pies made right here — served hot with nearly 80 years of hospitality behind them.
A Shelbyville table since the 1940s
The Chicken Inn opened near the end of WWII and has been passed between families ever since — the Kremers and Zinsers, the Hardins, and today Kent Hankins and Bill Aughe. The original home-cooked recipe books came along with it.
We still serve the famous Pressure-Fried Chicken, the weekday specials, hand-breaded walleye, and the homemade soups and desserts folks grew up on. Come on in and taste the memories.
